Basic Training for Aerodrome Inspectors
Contact Training Department
Aerodrome (ADR) Inspectors working on behalf of Civil Aviation Authorities (CAA, NAA, CA) are required to be trained and qualified for their duties, and demonstrate their competence.
Their oversight task is complex, as it demands in-depth knowledge of the technical and organisation requirements applicable to aerodromes: their management and operations.
The EU Implementing Rules (IR’s) and EASA AMC, GM and CS - considered as the best practices worldwide - reorganise ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, and introduce well defined skill and knowledge requirements for aerodrome inspectors.
Structured upon EASA requirements, this 3-day course will provide attendees with the knowledge baseline requirement for oversight inspectors. This includes the structure of aerodrome regulations, the requirements for aerodrome design and maintenance, operations, management systems, safety assessments, certification and manuals.
In particular, the course will focus on how aerodrome inspectors analyse and assess applications made by aerodrome operators for managing deviations & differences (ELOS, SC, DAAD, AltMoC), and changes: and, how to respond to those applications. Emphasis will be placed on examples and practical discussions that the attendees consider most relevant.

Bartosz Świerzewski
Bartosz is a very experienced person in civil engineering, holds a Master’s Degree and state licenses in the field of engineering geodesy. Many years of work in the aviation sector, particularly at the Polish Civil Aviation Authority and interest in airport pavements led to the development of an innovative method of reconstructing airport pavements using the technology of prefabricated concrete slab. Based on the experience gained, he completed his doctoral studies and received the title of doctor of engineering sciences PhD in the field of civil engineering.
Polish Civil Aviation Authority recognized him as a specialist and as an inspector. At the age of 27 he become the lead auditor in the Polish CAA with a deep understanding of all areas related to the physical characteristics and infrastructure, obstacle control and limitation surfaces, visual aids (markings and signs), inspection of the movement area, works of the movement area, low visibility operations, winter operations, adverse weather condition.
