Your responsibilities: 

As a member of our Aerodrome Planning Department, you will be involved in national and international project work. The range of topics and tasks covered includes, amongst others:

  •  Planning and design of airside facilities for airports, heliports and vertiports, especially visual aids (marking, lighting, signage),  
  • Carrying out compliance checks of aerodrome infrastructure and operations against national and international regulations (e.g. ICAO and EASA), 
  • Conduct feasibility studies in the field of Advanced Air Mobility / Urban Air Mobility, 
  • Preparation of technical opinions and statements for various subject areas (e.g. Aerodrome infrastructure planning & compliance, safety and operations), 
  • Advising our customers in the above-mentioned subject areas, partly on site, support the airsight project management in the organisation and implementation of the consulting activities and presenting the generated project results, 
  • Supporting our training department in terms of content creation and development of new training course concepts and documents, and 
  • Conducting training courses in the field of aerodrome planning and compliance.

Your profile:

  • A master’s degree in aviation, civil engineering, transport engineering or comparable, 
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the field of aerodrome planning or operations, 
  • Fluent in English (more than half of our customers come from non-German speaking countries), upper intermediate/advanced level (CEFR B2/C1) in German – an additional language is a plus, but not a requirement, 
  • A reliable, well-structured, and independent personality, 
  • A high level of analytical and conceptual thinking skills, 
  • A strong team orientation and willingness to travel, 
  • Very good presentation and communication skills in German and English, 
  • Ability to set the right priorities, to work independently and organise projects in a structured manner, as well as an above-average level of commitment to achieving a high level of customer satisfaction, 
  •  Experience in working with Microsoft Office products, 
  •  Experience in the use of CAD software (e.g. MicroStation or AutoCAD) preferred, 
  • Programming skills (e.g. Python/MATLAB/R) preferred, but not a must.
